Settle in with award-winning children's books this winter

With everyone talking Oscars, it's easy to forget that this is also award season for children's books. On Monday, the American Library Association announced their 2012 Youth Media Award winners to the public. Celebrating excellence in nearly two dozen categories, the ALA's list includes top picks for all ages, picture books to young adult literature, as well as top adult books that appeal to teens. Check out the titles featured below, then see the entire list at ala.org. With so many choices, you and your kids will always be ready to answer the question "read any good books lately?"
