Educate while you accessorize with the latest typography trend

Many of us are just now finding out something designers have known for decades: typography is cool. From ampersand throw pillows to charms molded from an antique letterpress, stylized letters, numbers and symbols are appearing everywhere. Although it may seem to be a trend that appeals more to adults, firsthand experience proves that kids adore it as well. In fact, after seeing the ampersand pillow below in a store, my three-year-old thought it was so neat we wound up launching into a fantastic conversation about punctuation (yes, really). Talk about a major bonus…as if we needed a way to justify indulging in this great graphic trend.
